More and more accusations are being leveled against Joss Whedon regarding her time working on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," including Michelle Trachtenberg, who claimed to have engaged in "inappropriate behavior" when she was just a teenage girl.
Trachtenberg, now 35, responded to Sarah Michelle Gellar's comment about Whedon, 56.
"Thanks @sarahmgellar for saying that", Trachtenberg written in a post. "I'm brave enough now as a 35 year old woman… To repost this." Because. It must. To be known. Like a teenager. With his inappropriate behavior… very. Do not. Appropriate."
Trachtenberg played Gellar's sister, Dawn Summers, on the show from 2000 to 2003, when she was 15 to 18.
Trachtenberg's allegations come after Charisma Carpenter, who played Cordelia Chase, alleged Whedon's alleged "toxic" and "hostile" behavior start.
"Joss Whedon abused his power many times while working on the sets for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel," Carpenter claims. “Although he found his misconduct amusing, it only intensified my performance anxiety, disgusted me and distanced me from my peers. The disturbing incidents triggered a chronic physical condition from which I still suffer. It is with a heavy, pounding heart that I say that I have faced isolation and, at times, destructive ways.
Gellar, 43 years old posted a statement on Instagram take the side of “abuse survivors”.
"While I am proud to have my name associated with Buffy Summers, I don't want to be forever associated with the name Joss Whedon… I stand with all abuse survivors and I am proud of them for taking the speech."
Amber Benson, who played Tara on "Buffy," also added her own experience on the show's set. "Buffy was a toxic environment and it starts at the top," said the 44-year-old. tweeted. “There has been a lot of damage during this time and many of us are still dealing with it more than twenty years later.”
Whedon, whose representative did not return the Post's requests for comment, was also accused by Ray Fisher, who worked with Whedon on the 2017 film “Justice League”. The 33-year-old actor alleged on Twitter that Whedon's behavior on set was "rude, abusive, unprofessional and totally unacceptable".
